The Cabin in the Woods Review

The Cabin in the Woods marks the directorial debut of Drew Goddard. Goddard has been a writer on multiple pop culture landmarks such as Alias, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lost, and Cloverfield.  Finally he has had the chance to put on the directors cap and really make a name for himself, and I assure you he did not fail.

The horror film co-written by Joss Whedon takes the classic teenagers partying at a cabin in the woods and really creates something special about it. And when I say special I mean it, the film does everything you would ever want it to do, and it does it flawlessly.  I would dare say that this movie is a top contender for the most important  horror film of the 2000’s +.

That is all that I am willing to tell about The Cabin in the Woods. I cannot stress enough how important it is that you DO NOT talk to ANYONE about this film. DO NOT watch the trailer. Honestly the less you know about the film, the more rewarding and fun it will be. If a trailer comes on tv for it, turn off the tv. If an add pops up on a website, punch in your computer screen. If a friend tries to tell you about the film….. well….. I think you know what you will need to do……
