I watched “Get Hard” with Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart last night. I don’t have too much to say, so this will be a brief review.
Less groaners than I expected, the expected “get hard” joke only happened twice (so they didn’t choke you with it), and it had some rather laughable parts. The different humor between Will and Kevin was a palette cleanser, I can’t stand either one at full force. The supporting actors such as the housekeepers, grounds keepers, park visitors etc were likely my favorite scenes.
The class diversity commentary wasn’t as heavy handed as it could be, and made a good excuse for the trouble Will’s character was in.
Not the worst movie I’ve seen by far, but I don’t need to see it ever again. I actually think I remember more about the previews than the movie (condensed and showcased laughs, to be fair).
Will Ferrell ass. Nazi boobs. Man dick. More male nudity than female for those of you keeping track at home.
Fun facts: Rob Schneider (SNL alumni with Will), had a similar movie called “Big Stan” in 2009 that had the late David Carradine in it. One of his last film roles!
